Prepare for the Ride
Much of the 7 Cities Century Bike Ride is hilly so make sure you prepare for the challenges that August heat and Nebraska wind can bring.
Always bring a bottle of water with you. We will have rest stops every ten miles but you will want water in between those stops.
Cell phone service may be spotty throughout the ride and we will have service vehicles periodically driving with the riders.
If this is your first 100 miles ride, you'll need to work up to the challenge of riding 50 miles two days in a row. You should go on at least one 30 mile practice ride before the weekend of the 7 Cities Century ride. Consult your doctor before you attempt any new challenging sports activity.
